Two heads are better than one. At least that’s Casio’s view when they teamed up with the Hawaiian group In4mation, to create the latest edition of the world’s most popular surfer’s watch, the G-Lide GAX-100X-4A. This limited edition watch has the Extra-large screen of the GAX-100, and features a very bright orange band, along with a light blue display (kind of looks like the oceans in Hawaii). The display is a mixture of analogue/digital, and also has a moon phase indicator (pretty self-explanatory), as well as the main reason surfers go wild for this watch – an analogue Tide Graph indicator, which can tell you what the tides should be like for the next 12 hours. It’s a definite must for pro surfers, as well as those just starting out! In4mation, a company that likes to develop the latest trends, added their own unique twists to the design. The sides of the band, the band ring and the back cover are all marked with this logo, letting you know you’re getting a limited edition watch! The box itself is a mixture of white, blue and orange. Of course, this wouldn’t be a G-Shock model without their signature toughness, and the GAX doesn’t disappoint, with 200m water resistance, 100m shock resistance and it’s also resistant to magnetic waves. The display itself is protected by a scratch resistant mineral glass, and the band is a scratch resistant resin.
