The Kabar D2 Extreme Knife, is made from elite steel for superior cutting and edge retention. Research shows that the steel used to manufacture this knife is one of the toughest steels used in knife making. In fact it has twice the amount of cutting power as a standard carbon steel knife. In the C.A.T.R.A. Cutting Test, the D2 scored 300.6 mm, far exceeding it closest competition of only 168.8 mm.It has several lashing ports which provide multiple tie-down options. Knife comes with a KA-BAR SGF hard shell sheath constructed of a tough reinforced glass filled nylon which is resistant to salt water and provides a hard surface which protects during rough use. This knife is often used for hunting, diving and general outdoor activities.
